Oldenburg,
Germany: aleo solar AG Sets Up Megawatt Solar Park in Friedeburg
aleo
solar AG has set up a solar farm with a peak output of 942 kilowatts
in Friedeburg, East Frisia (Germany). The greenfield project was
connected to the grid last year.
Around
EUR 4.5 million is being invested in this photovoltaic power project,
which will produce 850,000 kilowatt hours of clean electricity
each year using nearly 5,500 S_16 modules from aleo. This is enough
energy to supply around 250 three-person households, thus saving
500 tons of CO2 every year.
Constructor
is a businessman from the Wittmund region. The power plant will
be part of a larger energy park which will supply environmentally
friendly energy to an orchid plantation, among other things. A
biogas plant is already in operation, and wind energy facilities
are planned as well.
“The
megawatt solar farm in Friedeburg proves that photovoltaic projects
in northern Germany are economically feasible. We were able to
complete the entire installation within three months and connect
it to the grid very quickly,” said Norbert Schlesiger, Director
Sales Germany at aleo solar AG.
The
company received the order in October, and all modules have been
installed on a mounting system by the end of the year. The solar
energy will be fed through 26 inverters to a substation which
was set up especially for the solar farm.
