San
Diego, CA, USA: E-Village Inc Teams with ENN Solar Energy to Serve
US Market
E-Village
Inc. of San Diego, CA and ENN Solar of Langfang, China have signed
an agreement to bring innovative, utility-grade 5.7 square meter
thin film solar modules to the US photovoltaic market. E-Village
and ENN Solar are forming a Joint Venture to serve the US market
on a 50:50 basis. Under the agreement, the partnership will provide
25 MW of solar modules through 2009.
ENN
Solar plans on reaching 500MW module production capacity in China
by 2011. Collaborating with Applied Materials, a global leader
in semiconductor and solar module fabrication equipment, ENN Solar
Energy introduced the cutting-edge SunFab Thin Film Si production
line to manufacture ultra-large module designed with multi-MW
installations in mind.
“We
are excited to have found an industry-leading partner to bring
our product onto the global stage at the forefront of clean production
and application of solar energy”, said Dr. Ted Guo, Senior Vice
President for ENN Solar Energy.
“With
the blending of our two technologically adept global families
devoted to clean energy generation, E-Village, with its system
engineering expertise, is most proud to continually be able to
keep its company pledge of selling environmentally safe products
unlike some of the current industry leaders using cadmium-based
solar technologies,” said Shane Shaw, CEO of E-Village.
E-Village
teams with other green technology-minded strategic partners, like
Fox Television and the Indianapolis 500 to bring eco-friendly
products and services to the world and will provide solar power
for the American Idol finale.
